Our collection clients include the U.S. Departments of Justice and Education, Lightwave Communications, and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. Of the over 1,000 cases that we are presiding over for our clients, including the Department of Justice and Lightwave Communications, 85% have judgments entered against our debtors. Our inventory exceeds eight million dollars, most of it for the United States. The Firm is a Member of NARCA and the Maryland / District of Columbia Creditors Bar Association. It has the latest version of JST collection software and is in the process of adding You’ve Got Claims as an interface.

Thomas A. Mauro, the company’s Principal, is admitted in the District of Columbia, Maryland, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the Federal and the Fourth Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the District of Columbia and the District of Maryland. Mr. Mauro is a former trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Honors Program.

Thomas A. Mauro is responsible for all of the Firm's clients. He personally supervises the production of work product by other attorneys, when needed, and the Firm’s support staff. He is responsible for meeting all deadlines and court appearances required by the client's caseload. If conflicts occur in his schedule, he will utilize the services of an associate or affiliated counsel.

The Firm has an established an effective structure for handling its work load. Its collection personnel are highly experienced in collections. Its Senior Legal Assistant, Hugh G. Johnson, has been employed by the Firm since 1990. Anthony B. Mardakis is a Senior Collector who has been with the Firm since June 2002. Vincent M. Close, the Firm’s Administrative Assistant and Junior Collector, joined the firm in the summer of 2005.
